Friends of the Montecito Library

The Friends of the Montecito Library is a charitable nonprofit 501 (c)(3) community organization founded in 1975 that exists solely for the support of the Montecito Library. The Friends provide funding for staffing, new books and materials for the Montecito Library. 2/3 of the Montecito Library funding comes from private donations. Friendship Center

Friendship Center provides compassionate, professional, and affordable day services in a beautiful and secure environment for aging and dependent adults living in southern Santa Barbara County. It is the only full-service, supervised, non-profit day services program in the area. In addition to meals and transportation, a lively schedule of activities is provided. A registered nurse on staff oversees administration of medication and creates participants' care plans.

MERRAG

MERRAG (pronounced Mirage) is a network of trained volunteers who work and live in the Montecito area. Members are prepared to respond to a community disaster during the critical first 72 hours following an event. Since 1987, the mutual “self-help” organization has been serving Montecito’s 13,000 residents with the guidance and support of the Montecito Fire, Water and Sanitary Districts.

MONTECITO TRAILS FOUNDATION

Since 1964 Montecito Trails Foundation has worked to acquire, preserve and maintain trails in Montecito, Summerland and Carpinteria. Montecito Trails Foundation is supported by donations to keep more than 300 miles of trails open to the public.
