Beautification Day
For over 35 years, on the first Saturday morning after Halloween, the community comes together in front of the Montecito Post Office. We gather equipment, drink coffee, don safety vests, grab pickup sticks, and fan out into our neighborhoods to pick up trash, plant plants, work on trail maintenance, and keep Montecito Beautiful. This is Beautification Day, and it's followed by a community lunch, cooked and served by our heroic Montecito Fire Department.
We hope you'll join us for this most patriotic and community-based annual tradition.
We welcome your support. Sponsors will be thanked in the Montecito Journal, via our email newsletter, on our Facebook page, and here!

Breakfast and lunch, plus all supplies and equipment are provided.
The Hands Across Montecito Team will be out too, clearing abandoned camps and abating environmental hazards in our neighborhood. You'll get to meet all of our community organizations doing incredible work here.
Plus Live music after from Maitland and Jackson Gillies!
All we need...is YOU.
Would you like to volunteer, or sign up as a team?
Fabulous! We're welcome everyone to participate, from neighbors to families to corporate teams and neighbors. Taking care of our community is an all-hands project! Just email info@montecitoassociation.org and let us know you're coming, how many you're bringing with you, and who you are!
Are you a school or youth organization, and want to submit artwork? Awesome! Email info@montecitoassociation.org, and we're happy to pick it up. We'll be mounting it in our local business windows, so your child's art will be seen by our community. It truly takes a village, as we know, and our children are so important to our future. We love to support their dreams of what this community can be, and see them put their hands on it, with love, to help determine its future.
